He got chains on his teeth

Wyatt's orthodontist put chains on his teeth the other time. Wyatt wanted gold chains but they only had red and blue. His teeth are doing great.

Little Italy Carnevale

Last night Deidra and her friend AJ and I went down to Little Italy for Carneval (clean, family version of Mardi Gras). I even got beads and I didn't have to lift my shirt. It was a lot of fun. We had to get these passports and go to 23 different places in and around Little Italy getting a stamp or mark from that place, when it was finished we turned it in and our passport would be entered into a drawing for prizes. Let you know it we win anything.

What a wonderful stormy day here! We have had some bad storms but we need the rain soooo bad. By the end of the week we will be in the 70's. YEAH!

Baja Fresh Fundraiser

Last night our school had a fundraiser at Baja Fresh. Wyatt and his friend Noah got booted from the adult table. Don't think they were to sad they didn't have to listen to all the school drama.

Fallen tree. . .

Yesterday we had a tree fall over our fence during the storm, luckily no cars were parked right at that spot. Tonight after school Bill and Wyatt got out the chain saw and loppers and cut the broken tree. What is it with boys and power tools?

Six month comparisson

I have had many request to see Wyatt teeth progress, here you go. He is happy now that he has them on. We are really excited to see the progress happen so quickly.

Race Day

Well, today was my first race for myself. It had been rainning for days, even when I got to the race it was pouring. As I was getting out of my car I saw a beautiful rainbow. This race was definately the most interesting one I had ever done. At the water stop they also had kegs of beer and were handing out beer! Coming around the half way mark there was "The Queen" cheering people on. I wish I had had my camera. I didn't finish my race in a better time but I did make a new friend Theresa who I ended up walking from her mile 1. I was on my way back toward the finish and see this lady sitting on her heals crying. She was walking alone and feeling very defeated. I went and walked with her, getting to pass the "queen" again. We both finished the race and she was very grateful to have a "new Friend". I learned something about myself: I was so excited to finish in a better time but God had other plans for me and I was excited to help out a women in need of a friend. I could have been like all those other people passing her by but something wouldn't let me. It was a fun time and hope that Theresa will attempt another run/walk.

Another Wonderful Rainy Day

Wow! Today was a great day! It rained and I was on my own in class, this morning I was dreading the day but it was wonderful. I did manage to get the kiddos outside in between the rain. They ran, and went inside, went to recess. The class built this amazing damn to keep the water from running onto the basketball court.

I love the rain it washes away all the yuck and with all the drama at work this week it was very refreshing to have God wash everything clean. It's amazing how much calmer everything became when the truth came out. Just like after a great rain!

I am looking forward to my race on Sunday, it is suppose to rain!!!! Yeah!

Girls In My Circle

Another your shoe fetish,

Another will be with you in your season of confusion,

Another will be your clarifier,

Another the wind beneath your wings.

But whatever their assignment in your life,

On whatever the occasion, On whatever the day, Or wherever you need them to meet you with their gym shoes on and hair pulled back, Or to hold you back from making a complete fool of yourself .

Those are your best friends.

It may all be wrapped up in one woman, But for many, it's wrapped up in several..

Jeff left for India

tonight Jeff boarded a plane at LAX at 5:00pm and left on his trip to India. He will be gone for a month and Wyatt is very sad and is going to miss Jeff terribly.

Groundhog's Day

Today Punxsutawney Phil came out armed and ready to let the people of the east coast know that they were going to have to endure 6 MORE weeks of winter. Sooooo sorry. I wonder if California will have 6 more weeks of our 80 degree winter? Hmmmmm.

Superbowl Sunday

Today we went to a Superbowl party and left a half time because I had planned to have company for Chicken Marsala dinner. I snapped this picture of Jeanne and Bill as the Cardinals scored the touch down that we thought would be the game winning touch down. Bill was excited and kept thinking of how mad his brother-in-law was. Pittsburgh ended up winning the game in the last few minutes. Great game and the chicken marsala was really good too.
