Rainy Day

Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes its that little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow.

Today we were suppose to get major thunder storms, with lightning and everything. Guess what it didn't happen. Yes, it rained but not that much. I am waiting and wishing for warmer weather, I feel like I am constantly cold right now. I am not really complaining because my family and friends that live on the east coast are really cold, but for here it is cold.

Tomorrow I do not have any obligations, I am staying home all day and I might even sleep in until 7:00 (well I hope too). Jeff is suppose to come down so I plan on cooking up some yummy soup for us and extra for him to take home with him.

Getting an inch of snow is like winning a dime in the lottery, that is unless you live in the desert than you think you made it big in the lottery! YUP that is real life, fresh white snow on that cactus and many more out in out beautiful desert, and I do not mean at the top of the tram in Palm Springs desert.

Happy Friday

This is the last Friday to deliver food to the robotics team, in fact Monday is the last day of build season. YEAH!!! I am excited because I have not sewed, crochet or done anything crafty since . . .well Christmas. Next week I will be back to somewhat a normal life, Wyatt will still have to be down at school for drive practice but I don't have to make food, just drive down late to pick him up. I am going to get my creative juices flowing AND I will be making another trip to Blick Art store this weekend but this time for personal stuff.
Have a wonderful weekend, enjoy it extra since it is a long weekend to celebrate President's Day.

It's raining, it's pouring. . .

Today, Friday, Sat, Sun and 4 days next week it is raining! Gotta give in and make the best of it, even if I fell into a puddle today ( out front of my house). So what do you do when you are all wet? YUP jump and splash around in the puddles. Enjoy each thing (good or bad) that come your way and you will enjoy your life more.

YUMMY!

Its that time of year again. . . time for the best, fresh picked strawberries ever. Saturday I went over to the fields and purchased a flat of them. . . 12 baskets of the sweetest, red, juicy fruit. I have missed their flavor.

These berries were gone in 24 hours they became strawberry shortcakes for the robotics team, crepes for us and just plain yummy to eat out of the box. Guess what? I am going back up tomorrow to get a bunch more.

Happy Valentines Day

I hope everyone had a wonderful day. I made the adorable fry boxes to give out to the staff at work, my students and friends. I think they came out really cute. I filled them with treats and sweets and fun Valentine's toys, whistles, pencils erasers and fun things. I love to make fun things for my friends, especially when they appreciate it. I have some super cute St.Patricks Day crafts to make and pass out . Watch for it to come.

San Diego Zoo

We took a fieldtrip to the San Diego Zoo the other day and when I showed my class the picture of the tiger they asked "Miss Cathy did you go IN the tiger habitat?" We all had a good laugh but I had to share the picture with you all. I feel so blessed to be living where I can see animals so close. Our zoo does so much for animal and is one of the best zoo's in the world.

Ezekiel

I love my cat, he is just so cool! He has that gray goatee under his chin and he loves to go down to the beach and play in the white wash. Right now with the weather changing he is loosing his winter fur because the weather is waming up a bit. I am finding clumps of gray fur everywhere.
I am so looking forward to a much needed girls night out Friday, it has been a while, since the craziness of robotics began. I would never give up helping out my kid, I can never get those moments back. I know many people think that they need to do things for themselves to make themselves happy, but I am a mom and it is a job, I can't leave my kids to go do things all the time just because I need some "me" time. My boys are great people and I am so glad I have all these memories with them. I do not someone else to have memories of me not being there.
Today, go out, hug your kids and be there with them, for them and enjoy each moment today, soon enough we will have all the "me" time we want and we will miss the things that we didn't do with our kids. It IS our job to take care of and raise our children, not the rest of the world.

It sparkles like diamonds

I have been taking my camera out when I get home from work to look for those darn migrating whales, no I have not seen any this year yet. I love the way the sunlight dances on the Pacific, I think it is beautiful. To me it is like a giant bowl of diamonds. I am so blessed to be able to live where I live and be able to enjoy the beauty all around me each day.

My class loves to paint and I enjoy watching them create
I am feeling a trip to Little Italy is in store for me this weekend so I
can purchase some canvas' for them to use
next week, maybe a gift for their parents.

Beautiful day

With all the terrible weather the country is having I am so grateful to be living here. We are having COLD Santa Ana and this morning when I woke up it was 47 degrees, I know that is warm for several of you but for us here it is freezing. I will take it!
