Thank you VETERANS

I got this as an email and thought it was to good not to post.

"It is the
VETERAN,
not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the
VETERAN who
salutes the Flag,

It is
the
VETERAN
who serves under the Flag.",

Sunflower bright and cheery

I see you there in glory shining bright,
Following the sun and its path of light.
Standing tall above all others in the field,
You grow, conquer, and do not yield.
The little birds take great delight
In playing round you, from day to night.
With your petals of yellow and leaves of green
How very easily you are seen.
The beauty that within you is expressed,

Boy in the bubble

Remember when you were a kid and you would get that tube of goo and a small straw, you would squeeze out the goo on the end of the straw and blow, and blow and blow to get a magical bubble? Wyatt came home the other day and was so excited to show me his "new" found item. He was disappointed to hear that I too had blown my own bubble when I was a kid.
The smell and the magic of watching the bubble get bigger brought back such fun memories from my childhood. I love the magical bubbles.

Birds and tea

Today I met Gloria for coffee and a muffin, well I had tea and she had the cinnamon roll. The birds were bombing the tables, they are fearless of people. Several times they would fly almost into my face, they would get right on the table next to you and eat your food, of course I could not resist getting a picture.

I do this all the time. . .

Today I was driving over the hill and it was so sunny and bright, I was looking in my purse and in my sunglasses holder for a pair of sunglasses that I might have somewhere, anywhere. I couldn't find any, I AM GOING TO GET CROW'S FEET FROM SQUINTING! Then I look in my rear view mirror and there they are a pair of sunglasses on top of my head. OOPS. I bet you have done that before. I am enjoying the last week of my 3 week vacation. I have had a great time the first two weeks now the last one is going to be just as good! It is so nice to be able to hang out with my friends that either work with me or are domesticated goddess and don't go into an office for their job. I love that job title and my girlfriend who proudly holds that title.

PEACE

I saw this picture and it just shouted out peace to me, I have always found peace and calmness in water. I think I need to learn to take pictures like these.

I am still alive

I have not died, I have just been super duper busy this week. My girlfriend from Oregon came down this week and we have been hanging out whenever I had free time. I was busy planning this and putting on the sponsor appreciation/Holy Cows award banquet dinner. Me and my annal overdoing it ways made Holy Cow logo Shrinky Dinks then wrapped them around the utensils, the were so cute that we are going to make necklaces and earrings out of them and sell them at the school as a fundraiser. The dinner went really well, they even gave me an award ( I think they made it up to keep me helping, feeding and traveling with the team) Parent of the Year.
I did get a chance to go up to the American Girl doll store in LA at the Grove, I love that mall I cannot wait to get back their soon.

Sweetest kid ever

This morning I woke up to breakfast in bed (left over from yesterday but thats ok its the thought that counts) and this beautiful gift. Friday Wyatt trudged off all on his own and went into this little store and came out with this gift for me. inside were these beautiful turquoise dangle earrings. I am truly blessed to have such a thoughtful, sweet son. I hope you had a wonderful day!

Happy May Day . . .

I cannot believe it is already the first day of our fifth month, this year is flying past! When I was young we would make tissue paper baskets, fill them with candy and leave them with our neighbors, ring the door bell and run. I love those simple holiday memories. I hope everyone enjoys this special month of ours.
