First Day Of High School

This morning was a big morning at my house, Wyatt stared high school! I had been asking him if I could take him to school and he kept telling me no, finally yesterday afternoon he told me I could take him and pick him up, but only the first day. It was so weird this is the first year that we have not been in the same school. I am so excited for Wyatt and his new experiences he will have being in high school.

Here is the annual 1st day of school spot, doesn't he look excited to have his picture taken?
Here he is after we went out to breakfast at Panera, I even got a very quick hug and kiss before he was off to meet his friends.

Happy Saturday

Last night I went over to Gloria's house for a birthday party but it turned out to be much more than that. . . I am not even going to talk about it but it was fun. Anyways I have been doing a lot of thinking and I have decided to go to school and get my masters, I am going to get my fat butt back to boot camp and get my life back on track for me. I am putting my son on the train Monday morning for high school and it is a beginning for me. Information will follow. I am excited about the changes.

Summer Day at the beach

Today was a great day and after visiting my friend Stephanie I went and hung out at the beach with Wyatt. Tonight was an amazing sunset! It is hard to believe summer is almost over and it will soon be back to school time.

California Craziness!

Yesterday was Joe's memorial service at the beach in San Pedro. It was not a sandy beach at all but it had this really cool rocky hill. It is the earths plates fighting to have control. One is getting pushed under the other. It was pretty cool!
Biggest burrito I've ever seen ~ 6 feet long!

Taking Advantage of Government Program

As I have said I have been on the crazy train since I got back from Maine. I wanted to take advantage of the Cash 4 Clunkers program provided by out government, not that my Jeep was by any means a clunker. (I love my Jeep it ran great, has low miles even with the giant rust holes that Jeff bondo'd up. It was all mine and it was paid for.) This morning I woke up and heard that the program was going to be over Monday. YIKES! Hearing this it forced my hand should I really take advantage of it? HMMMM I went about my morning business of taking Jeanne to the doctors to get her hand check out (it is looking better). I went to Hyundai to find out exactly what they needed me to bring in to qualify for the program. I came home I had everything the dealer needed except 1 year of the 3 years they wanted for proof of insurance. I called my agent and he e-mailed it to me. I was sick to my stomach I didn't know if I could do it, it is a huge commitment. Well I did and after 3 1/2 long hours of paperwork, waiting and more paper work I got my new car. $4500, $2000 from the dealer gas for $1.49 a gallon of a year and best of all FREE car washes for life. YEAH!
Here it is my band new car!

I had to take a picture while I was waiting because all these cars are all Clunkers, and I was told they had a lot more in the back lot. It is a bummer because some of these Clunkers like my Jeep are great cars!

Life

I have been home from my very long, very wonderful vacation and wow I was thrown back into the reality of my life. Joe passed away, Jeanne had fallen 3 days prior to me getting home and now we make the daily trek to the nurse everyday to get the bandage changed, they want to make sure the infection is healing. I also have to get ready for school and have school tours (3 today). Not to mention I am planning to move my plan to get my masters in early childhood education a head and hopefully begin in January. I cannot put off the inevitable. I want to improve my career and life and there is no time like the present.

Crazy few daze

Rest in peace Joseph Michael Fowler

Wyatt and I had a very long trip back from the east coast Wednesday. We flew from Portland, Maine to Cleveland, OH as we were getting ready to board the plane 10 TSA agents stormed the gate and would not let anyone get near the walk way until they checked each and every bag, and person, including pockets. The lady checking Wyatt and I said she was looking for fluids. We get onto out plane and fly to Texas, after being stuck for an extra 45 minutes in the sky because the airport was closed due to bad weather. Once we landed we were delayed for an extra hour and a half. Finally we go home at 1:00am.

I wake up at 5:00am Cali time only to find out a few hours later that Bill's brother is at his daughters house with hospice and is dying. Jeanne and I race up to Thousand oaks, 3 hours away. We stayed all night and Joe passed away at 1:30 am Friday Morning. I think I went to bed after 3:30 am and was wide awake at 5:30 am. At 7:45 Jeanne was awake and ready to drive back home.

The ride home was pretty slow because of traffic. We stopped in Santa Monica and ate breakfast then we stopped at El Toro Rd because I needed coffee, my lack of sleep was catching up with me. I come out of the coffee store and cannot see Jeanne. When I do see her she is talking with an older gentleman I get to her and she is all excited because she found my cell phone. Sorry not mine, I take it back into the restaurant she found it in and we get back to the car only for her to discover she has lost her purse. Running back to the bathroom in the restaurant her purse is not there. I see it under the counter I get her purse and we finally got back to out house at 4:00pm. Long days and crazy return to Cali.

I wish I were still on vacation, it was much more relaxing and so peaceful! Ahhhh vacation I think I might have to get away before school begins.

Weekend on Cape Cod

The bay at sunset as the tide was going out.

Wyatt and Crunchy, he loved riding!
What a fun weekend. We drove out to Cape Cod and spent the weekend at Kristen's parents house. Wyatt met Nate and Gordon and spent the weekend with them, he had so much fun horseback riding, jumping off the pier in "P" town, and going out to the point of the Cape and swimming. I am so glad he had such fun. We are heading back to San Diego tomorrow. :)

Naked Boys Singing

One of our trips we took while on Cape Cod was a trip to Province town (P town as the locals call it). We saw some pretty strange looking people and I am not talking about the locals! One of the best sites to see were these super cute boys they are from the nightly show called the Naked Singing Boys, if Wyatt wasn't with us I probably would have drug the girls along just to hear how good those boys could sing, by the way did I make a note about how good looking these guys were?

Crazy Last Night at Camp

Last night Deidra arrived at camp and my funny, crazy sister left work early so she could come show Deidra a true Maine Redneck. While we were out driving around on the quad (aka 4 wheeler) Tammy and her husband showed up on their quad dressed in this crazy costume with matching flannels and funky teeth.
We are in the city taking a shower and heading to Boston for sushi tonight.

So much fun in Maine

We are having so much fun on our visit to Maine! I have been very lucky I am able to see many of my friends from school and that I have reconnected with thru Face book. Of course my camera screen is still cracked and I can not see anything that I am taking pictures of but they still manage to come out fine. The above picture my friend Sheryl's husband took and he didn't do to bad. Lot of fun shopping , eating and enjoying the company of my family and friends.
Sea Dog seems to the the"IT" place to go every time I have gone out with my girlfriends this is the place to go.They brew their own beer and we sampled a peach wheat beer that tasted like peach yogurt YUCK! No Corona or Pacifico here at Sea Dog.
Wyatt spent 3 days at my sisters house swimming, mowing the lawn on the riding lawn mower and shooting guns. I let him drive the rental car out the camp road ( a rite of passage at that age).
